Our Ethos
Sustainability
The most sustainable thing we can make is something you keep.
We don't claim to have solved fashion's footprint. We've simply built our way of working around a single idea: longevity is the quietest form of sustainability.
Small batches
We make in limited runs rather than to forecast. Less overproduction, less deadstock, less waste, and more attention paid to each piece. When something sells out, it sells out; we'd rather that than a warehouse of unsold stock.
Repair, don't replace
Goodyear-welted construction means our shoes can be resoled rather than discarded. A pair kept for a decade and resoled twice has a fraction of the footprint of three pairs thrown away. We'd always rather mend than sell you another.
Materials that age well
Full-grain and vegetable-tanned leathers are chosen to develop a patina and last for years. We avoid bonded and heavily coated materials that crack and can't be repaired.
Honest about the work ahead
There's more to do: on packaging, on transport, on how we source every hide. We'll write plainly about it here as we go, rather than make claims we can't yet stand behind.
