Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal data.
1. Who we are
LA PRESTIGIO LTD (registered in England & Wales, company number 15887570) is the data controller for personal data collected through laprestigio.co.uk. Our registered office is at First Floor, 83d London Road, Romford, Essex, RM7 9QD, United Kingdom. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us via our contact page.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the shop:
- Account & contact: your name, email and password (stored hashed) if you register, and any message you send us.
- Order & delivery: items, order history, and billing and shipping addresses.
- Payment: handled by Stripe; we receive a payment reference and card metadata (such as the last four digits), never your full card number.
- Technical: basic logs and the essential cookies needed to operate the site.
3. How we use it, and our lawful bases
- To fulfil your order (take payment, ship, and support you): performance of a contract.
- To run and secure the site, and to meet tax and accounting duties: our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- To send marketing email, such as the Journal newsletter, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers that help us operate, under appropriate agreements: Stripe (payments), our delivery carrier (shipping), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data.
5. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your bag. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements, account data for as long as your account is active, and marketing data until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us via our contact page and we'll respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Contact
Reach us any time via our contact page.
